THE WINE
Justin and Harry share an almost obsessive dedication to realizing their dream of creating exceptional vineyards and wines from their home property. They firmly believe that the quality of the fruit directly determines the ultimate quality of the wine. By selecting varieties that thrive in their climate and express their terroir, they emphasize a shared ethos of 'quality, not quantity'. Currently focusing on Pinot Noir as their flagship, Harry draws profound inspiration from Burgundy, emphasizing minimal intervention winemaking while possessing the expertise to intervene when necessary.
The Scanlon family produces three distinct wines from their estate vineyard. These include a barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc known as Fume Blanc, and two expressions of Pinot Noir: the Estate Pinot Noir and the JMS Pinot Noir.
Inspired by France's Sancerre region, Fume Blanc is celebrated for its textured profile, featuring notes of stone fruits and spice complemented by crisp acidity.
Harry characterizes the Estate Pinot Noir as "ethereal and elegant," highlighting its bright red fruit spectrum and rounded palate. In contrast, the JMS Pinot Noir embodies a robust and structured style, appealing to enthusiasts of Burgundian wines seeking depth and aging potential.
