Despite a tough vintage throughout the Adelaide Hills, due to the rain and cold, we are incredibly proud to put forward this years edition of our special JMS Pinot. A testament to the hard work we put into the vineyard, choosing to spray the vines with a 20kg knapsack on our backs in areas the tractor couldn’t access, and many rounds of whipper snipping to keep the lush grass down. We cut off a lot of fruit in the lead up to vintage, to ensure the fruit could ripen and increase its concentration, which enabled a JMS to be chosen. 100% destemmed, this wine saw extended maceration times and warmer ferments to facilitate extraction. Blend of older vine 777 and higher density planted Abel and 667 clones. Darker fruits on the nose, enhanced structure compared to the Estate and a real drive and intensity on the palate.
